INGREDIENTS

Seeds are an underappreciated source of sustainable plant-based protein. They’re packed with micronutrients and are free of the most common food allergens.

Learn more about seeds.

We use simple, wholesome ingredients sourced from the best farms around.

Yes — all of our foods are free of the 8 most common food allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat and soy. Additionally, our Bakery does not process sesame, mustard or sulfites. Please see our Allergen Information page for more detail.

Yes — our foods are free of the most common allergens and are safe for nut-free schools.

All of our Seed Butters and Protein Bars are low-FODMAP.  As for Seed Bars and Seed'nola, our Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, Double Chocolate Mocha, and Cinnamon & Oats flavors are low-FODMAP.

We suggest working directly with a doctor or dietitian regarding any health or diet questions.

Our products are printed with a “best by” date, which is only an indicator of peak flavor and texture. The “best by” date does not indicate when the product expires. In fact, our shelf-stable products are often perfectly safe and delicious far beyond the “best by” date. This is a confusing part of the food industry, but the best way to determine if a food is safe is through smell and sight.

We are proud to source our high-quality ingredients from farms and suppliers around the world. Our seeds are sourced from Asia, Europe, and the US. Our 9 Step Sourcing Process prioritizes safety and quality over geography.

Our sunflower, watermelon, and pumpkin seeds are certified organic. All of our ingredients are Non-GMO Project Verified. While we prioritize allergen safety and low risk of cross contamination when sourcing, we do use organic ingredients as often as possible. All organic ingredients are listed on the packaging and product pages.

SEED BARS

No. We have Seed Bars and Protein Bars that each have different recipes and protein content. Seed Bars naturally contain between 5-6 grams of protein while Protein Bars naturally contain 12 grams of protein from seeds.

Seed Bars have a 12-month shelf life. You’ll find a Best By date on all of our packaging.

SEED BUTTERS

Seed Butters are smooth spreads made from seeds. Think of them as an alternative to nut butters or tahini.

Seed Butter can be used in the same way that you’d use a nut butter.

Seed Butters can be enjoyed in sandwiches and smoothies, on crackers, oatmeal, and yogurt, or as part of any sweet or savory recipe. Find more ideas on our blog!

Our Seed Butter Pouches are also a great option for grab-and-go snacking in the office, at the gym, or on a hike.

Sunflower oil naturally rises to the top of the jar and we don’t include any additives or preservatives to our butters to prevent this from occurring. Specifically, we do not use any palm oil in our products to prevent separation. A quick stir will incorporate the oil back into the butter.

Learn more about why we don't use palm oil.

Seed Butter is shelf stable and does not require refrigeration.

Seed Butter has a 12-month shelf life. You’ll find a Best By date on all of our packaging.

Whether our Seed Butters are opened or sealed, they are good until the Best By date. If you live in a humid environment or your pantry gets a lot of sunlight, you might want to store it in the fridge to maintain the quality of the flavor.

Note: Best By dates are not an indication of food safety, only a general guideline for flavor quality.

SEED'NOLA

Seed'nola is a snackable cluster of seeds and oats, similar to granola. It originated as an upcycled product from the edge pieces of our Seed Bars, allowing us to maintain a zero food-waste Bakery.

Learn more about our commitment to zero food-waste.

Seed'nola can be enjoyed by the handful straight out of the bag, in a bowl as “cereal”, over ice cream or yogurt for added crunch, or tossed into trail mix.

Seednola has a 6-month shelf life. You’ll find a Best By date on all of our packaging.

Protein Bars

Our Protein Bars have a shelf life of 9 months.

All of our Protein Bars get their protein from whole roasted pumpkin seeds, never isolates.

Learn more about protein from whole foods vs. isolates.

Seed Bars contain 5-6 grams of protein and are made with certified gluten-free oats and three kinds of seeds––sunflower, pumpkin, and flax. Our Protein Bars contain 12 grams of protein from whole roasted pumpkin seeds and are grain-free.

Dressings

Our Dressings are not considered low-FODMAP. However, depending on your tolerance to onion and garlic powder you may be able to enjoy them. Work with your dietitian or doctor to integrate them into your diet safely.

Our Dressings have a shelf-life of 9 months. You’ll find a Best By date on all of our packaging.

Open bottles of Dressing can be stored in a cool, dry place or in the refrigerator. We only recommend storing open bottles of Dressing in the refrigerator to slow the natural oil separation.
