Enter the breakfast mocha smoothie: a balanced breakfast and caffeine boost all in one. Our nourishing breakfast smoothie is inspired by the flavors in one of our newest bar flavors, Double Chocolate Mocha because coffee is great, but chocolate and coffee together is better.
With a base of bananas, whole-grain oats, Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter and chia seeds, this smoothie delivers a balance of lasting energy, with satiating healthy fats and a boost of plant-based protein. Feel free to use decaffeinated coffee if desired and adjust more or less to your taste preference. This is also a great way to use up leftover coffee from the day before and reduce waste.
- 2 medium bananas, sliced and frozen
- 1/2 cup milk of choice
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup coffee
- 2 tablespoon 88 Acres Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
DirectionsCombine all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy, adding more liquid as needed until desired consistency is reached.
